According to the university’s website, the one-year postgraduate program (Exeter University magic degree) is one of the first of its type to “combine the study of the history of magic with such a wide range of other subjects” in the UK.

This magic degree program will be available through the Institute of Arab and Islamic Studies at Exeter University. Esotericism and the Magical Tradition, a team-taught module, covers important subjects like magic in ancient Greece and Rome, occult writings in Judaism, Christianity, and Islam, the history of witchcraft, magic in literature and folklore, deception and illusion, and the development of science and medicine.
Exeter University Magic Course Requirements
Usually, you need to have at least a 2:1 Honors degree (or its international equivalent) in the social sciences or humanities.
Although we typically only accept students who satisfy these requirements, we would still be interested in your application if you have a high 2:2 or similar, are coming from a different academic background that is equivalent to degree level, or have relevant job experience.

English language proficiency needed: For this course, international students must demonstrate that they have the necessary level of English proficiency.
